Understanding Your Report

Your PactPro report breaks down your contract into easy-to-understand sections. Here's what each part means.

Executive Summary

The executive summary appears at the top of your report. It gives you a quick overview of:

  • What the contract is about
  • The overall risk level (low, medium, or high)
  • The main points you should pay attention to

Use it for: Getting a quick sense of the document before diving into details.

Risk Levels

Each clause or section is tagged with a risk level:

LevelMeaning
HighOften negotiated or escalated to legal. Worth a closer look.
MediumCommon in contracts but may need attention depending on your situation.
LowTypically standard or favorable. Usually fine to accept.

These levels are based on common patterns in commercial contracts. They are not legal conclusions—they help you decide what to focus on.

Clause Breakdown

For each important clause, you'll see:

  • What it says – A plain-English explanation of the term.
  • Why it matters – How it could affect you or your business.
  • Who it favors – Whether the language tends to favor you, the other party, or is balanced.
  • Suggested questions – Questions you might ask the other party or your lawyer.
